Tom Weibel, Chief Operating Officer

Tom Weibel was appointed Chief Operating officer in 2017. He has held various management roles in area hospitals and surgery centers.

As Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Weibel’s responsibilities are, financial & staff management oversight, ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, and is the point of contact for the NYS Department of Health, insurance carriers and other relevant entities.

Scott Berry, DO, Medical Director

Dr. Berry has been part of the Westside Anesthesia team at Brighton Surgery Center since 2016 and appointed Medical Director in 2018. Originally from Rochester, N.Y., Scott graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College in 1993 and medical school from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1999. He completed residency at the University of Rochester in 2003 and is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.

As Medical Director, Dr. Berry is an important part of the leadership team understanding the perspective of fellow physicians and administration with the mission of delivering the highest quality care for Brighton Surgery Center patients.

Brenda Carpenter, RN BSN Clinical Quality Manager

Brenda Carpenter has been employed at Brighton Surgery Center since February 2014 and has held many roles at the center. She has worked as a Pre-Post RN, charge RN for Pre-Post,  Operating Room RN,  Clinical Director, and currently is filling the roles of Clinical Quality Manager and Staff Educator.

The Clinical Quality Manager works closely with the Clinical Manager, COO, and the Medical Director working to develop and update policies and procedures, quality/safety issues, as well as all quality reporting to continue to deliver the highest quality of care for the patients of Brighton Surgery Center.

 

 

 

 

 

Chad Skarzynski, RN BSN Clinical Manager

Chad Skarzynski has been employed at Brighton Surgery Center since December 2018 and has worked inthe Operating Room since this time filing the roles of circulating nurse and scrub nurse. He is currentlyfilling the role of Clinical Manager.

The Clinical Manager works closely with the Clinical Quality Manager, COO, and the Medical Directorworking to develop and update policies and procedures, quality/safety issues, as well as all clinicalmatters to continue to deliver the highest quality of care for the patients of Brighton Surgery Center.
